The Narconon Programme PDF
The NARCONON Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation programme steps are entirely drug-free; that is, the NARCONON programme does not use drugs or medications to solve the problems caused by drugs or alcohol abuse, but does use nutrition and nutritional supplements as an important component of its delivery. Thus the programme is neither psychiatric nor medical, but a social education model of drug rehabilitation.

"An Evaluation of a Detoxification Programme for Long-Term Stored Chemicals" is the title of a paper first published in 1981 and then appearing in Medical Hypothesis September 1982 by myself in concert with two colleagues: Megan Shields M.D. and Steven Burton M.D.

Alcohol Abuse - How to help: Alcohol Intervention PDF
Alcohol intervention is a process that helps an alcoholic recognise the extent of their problem. Alcoholics usually do not know they are out of control. They look at their alcohol-using peers and their own use appears normal in comparison. They need objective feedback on their behaviour.

Drug Abuse - How to help: Drug Intervention PDF
A drug intervention is a process that helps a drug addict recognise the extent of their problem. Individuals who are addicted to drugs or alcohol usually do not know their addiction is out of control. They tend to look at those around them as a measure of how right or wrong their actions are.
