Narconon Newsletter 20-09-2007

Welcome to the Narconon Newsletter.

Drugs and alcohol severely hinder an addict's social skills and reasoning as they have been living in an unreal world. The first of the life skills courses here at Narconon is the "Therapeutic Training Routines". This is comprised of drills and other practical steps that enable students to improve their ability to confront situations in life, to communicate and to resolve problems through communication.

Here is what two of our current students wrote upon completion of this course.

"I feel more confident in life after doing this course. Doing this course made me realise that communication is therapeutic; it DOES have a healing effect on one. Another realisation was that if I want to create and cultivate a relationship; or maintain and improve any and every relationship, it comes with effective and persistent communication. Now I have a greater ability to confront my relationships and better them with my new outlook (and with practising the drills, resulting in higher ability). I'm confident that I can stay off drugs and I will. That's a big win for me. I did escape from life by doing drugs. Now I will "catch the bull (which is my life) by the horns"and control it effectively."

"I feel good now, I've actually achieved something, I feel confident that I'm no longer a sick man, I never thought I'd be able to achieve this. The staff have been brilliant. I feel like I'm ready to take on the rest of the programme now. I feel like I'm on the road to success and I will succeed in LIFE!"
