The lifestyle of a drug addict is filled with negative associations and influences. These perpetuate the addict's use of drugs and alcohol. Book 5 of the Life Skills part of the course, "The Ups and Downs in Life" course, helps the student evaluate the characteristics of constructive and destructive personality types, so that they can select their friends and associates more carefully to establish a more stable, secure personal environment. Here is what one of our current students wrote about the course:-
"I have really enjoyed doing this book and I have learnt a lot.
I recommend this book to anyone as it teaches you about the outside world and people around you. That's where people make mistakes and go wrong in life as they don't recognise the characteristics of people around them.
If you recognise their attributes you can handle people in a
different way or choose to disconnect from them. This will
improve your life and make you a lot happier."
