Welcome to the Narconon Newsletter.

Today I'd like to talk about the detoxification part of our programme.

The New Life Detoxification (sauna) programme is an integral part of the overall Narconon programme. The main barrier to a successful rehabilitation is the craving for drugs or alcohol. The New Life Detoxification programme is used to reduce or eliminate these cravings. It uses a combination of exercise, induced sweating in a sauna and nutritional supplements to produce the following results:-

• Reduction or elimination of drug and alcohol cravings.
• Reduction or elimination of many symptoms associated with drug addiction and alcoholism. These can include depression, irritability, and fatigue.
• Ability to think more clearly.
• Improved memory and attention span.
• Increased energy.
• Increased sense of well being.
• Enthusiasm toward Life.

Here is a success story from one of our current students who has just completed the sauna part of the programme.

"I feel as though I've been lifted.

Before I came here I was drawn, sucked into a world of my own. I was isolated and just didn't have the will to continue living the life I was living. I felt alone and like no-one understood me. I couldn't be around people as I had nothing to say. I felt inadequate, I had no confidence and I simply couldn't face anyone. I spent a year and a half not leaving my home, scared to socialise and I lost who I was. I didn't like who I had become - I was disappointed being who I was. I was ashamed of the way I'd become and couldn't come to terms with the state I'd got my physical and mental self in.

Before I came here I thought I'd feel that way forever. I didn't think there was a way out.

Today, I can happily say that all my fears have been eradicated. The change I feel in myself is an immense achievement. I feel I've come back to life. I forgot who I was and I feel I've finally found myself.

All the drugs I've taken in my life changed me and I never really felt what living my life was all about. Then I went psychotic and was on anti-psychotics there is no way I would have ever found out.

I feel the sauna has cleansed me - I feel pure now. I feel in control of the way I feel about everything around me and myself and my emotions. I feel I've got my emotions back now - I know what I feel and why I feel the way I do.

I'm not scared anymore of being a part of this world and I now feel happy to be in it.

I enjoy being around others now - my communication has come back. I feel so good about being able to contribute myself and I feel good about myself and I enjoy my mind and my thoughts. I feel I'm growing - I always knew deep down that I was beautiful - now I feel beautiful. I feel proud to be who I am. I feel I've regained my sense of being. I feel colourful and childlike but at the same time aware, alert and smart. I just feel I've come back now - everything around me feels alive and real.

I feel so much love for everyone around me and I'm clear, confident and happy."
