Welcome to the Narconon UK newsletter. Today I'd like
to talk about the detoxification part of our programme.
The New Life Detoxification (sauna) programme is an integral
part of the overall Narconon programme. The main barrier to a
successful rehabilitation is the craving for drugs or alcohol.
The New Life Detoxification programme is used to reduce or
eliminate these cravings. It uses a combination of exercise,
induced sweating in a sauna and nutritional supplements to
produce the following results:-
- Reduction or elimination of drug and alcohol cravings.
- Reduction or elimination of many symptoms associated
with drug addiction and alcoholism; these can include
depression, irritability, and fatigue.
- Ability to think more clearly.
- Improved memory and attention span.
- Increased energy.
- Increased sense of well being.
- Enthusiasm toward life.
This is what two of our students who have just completed the
sauna part of the programme had to say about it:-
"When I first started the sauna programme, I was convinced
that the programme was blown totally out of proportion. I kept
reading all these cheesy success stories of how people had
extreme life-changing experiences during the programme. But
being a very arrogant, stubborn Irishman, I thought it wasn't
going to happen to me.
There was no way these people had done anywhere near as many
drugs or lived the kind of life I have, I kept thinking. There
is no way anybody or anything is going to be able to change the
way I think. I kept thinking this way through the first few
weeks of the programme, which I must say is one of the hardest
things I have ever done.
After 14 years of daily drug use of an extensive range of
drugs and a 12 year daily heroin habit, the different substances
being expelled from my body caused some dramatic mood,
behaviour, physical and emotional changes, which on a number of
occasions nearly made me throw in the towel.
But thanks to the staff and other students at Narconon, I
managed to stick it out to the end and the benefits are amazing.
The programme has totally changed the way I think about life, my
personality has changed so much; I'm now a much more chilled,
tolerant person. I'm now 27 years old and totally clean for the
first time in my life since the age of 13 years. I have never
felt so good, healthy and ready to live life to the max - and be
able to remember it all.
It's wicked to be out of the bubble that the haze of drug
abuse has created all my life."

your body and your mind. Before I started the programme, I
didn't even know how much toxin was in my body. You realise once
you are near the end that the sauna programme does actually work
because you feel much healthier and many things change, e.g.
your sense of smell, sense of taste, hearing and sight.
Now I have finished the programme, I feel like a completely
new person.
