Narconon UK Newsletter 26-09-2008
Welcome to the Narconon UK newsletter.
When someone completes the Narconon programme he or she
usually gives a speech to the staff and students. Family and
friends are also often present. Here is what one student who
recently completed the programme had to say:-
"I feel ready and equipped to return home and start my life
again. When I came to Narconon I never envisaged that I would
become the man I am today. I am proud of myself for what I have
achieved and it has been a long time since I've been able to say
that.
I have Narconon and their fantastically dedicated staff to
thank for the amazing job they do each and every day. I was
interested to see what the definition of rehabilitation was in
the dictionary so I looked it up. It said that it was the
process of returning a person to their former state and I
thought about that definition and the act of rehabilitation
itself. What I realise is that by coming to Narconon I have got
more than that. I was never as good as I am now, even before
taking drugs. I was never as confident, motivated, happy and
self determined as this. So I know that the Narconon programme
has actually performed a miracle on me. My girlfriend has her
boyfriend back, my parents have their son back, my brothers and
sisters have their brother back and on top of that I am 10 times
better than I have ever been!
The most important understanding I have gained through this
programme is the ability to understand who I am and I actually
like myself. I like what I stand for, my opinions, my thought
process and I like what my future has in store for me. This has
been the most important and recognisable achievement of my life
to date and in a way, it always will be, because I know that
without it, I wouldn't have been able to achieve anything else.
Thank you Narconon for giving me a second chance at life. I
can't wait!!"
