Welcome to the Narconon Newsletter.

In addition to our job of rehabilitating addicts, we are also operating as a training centre for those who want to be effective in the field of drug rehabilitation and education. Currently we have 3 staff members from Nepal here on training.

Narconon Nepal was established in 2004. The Director, Basanta Raj Kunwar, spent many years previously as a Senior Police Officer and saw first hand the devastation brought about by drugs. Through the Narconon programme's methodology, the centre has to date rehabilitated 200 addicts.

Two of the Nepalese staff are training in Administration to better their skills in the organisational aspect of their centre. The third is undertaking a training program to become a Case Supervisor, the 'Consultant' who overseas and monitors the progress of students on a technical level. They are all studying and doing practical assignments here and having fantastic gains. Here is a recent success:

"I am very happy that I have completed The Withdraw Specialist Course. I have always wanted to help the people to come off drugs, now I know the way to help them with the first part of the Narconon Programme for a drug-free withdrawal.

I know the painful experience of withdrawal as I have been through the same condition and I was afraid of quitting drugs because of the pain of withdrawals. But the Narconon Drug-Free Withdrawal procedure helped me to get through my withdrawals without much pain or discomfort which I had totally expected.

Now I can help people come off drugs with minimal pain and discomfort following the components of The Withdraw Specialist Course and help them in every way I can."
