"I'm living proof that no
one needs to be a slave to addiction"
Narconon The
World’s Most Successful Drug Rehab.
Drug Rehabilitation - A Student Success
Gordon, one of our Graduates, says:
"I'm
not too sure where to start but I'll do my best. Three weeks ago Jimmy
came and picked me up from a hostel in Brighton. At that point in my
life I was at my lowest I'd ever been in my life. I'd lost my business,
my house, my wife and the best thing in my life, my son Kieran. As I'm
sure most people can imagine I couldn't get any lower. The only thing
that meant anything to me was heroin. But thanks to Mike, Jimmy and
Father Allan I was offered to come and give a rehab called Narconon a
go. I knew deep down that I only had a few weeks left on this earth as I
was so tired of being a slave to heroin. I'd turned into such a bastard
by lying, deceiving and hurting the people who loved me most, that I
could no longer live with myself. So when Jimmy said to me to go
upstairs and pack my bags and come to Narconon I thought 'What have I
got to lose?'. So I came with him that day. Now three weeks later and
looking back on what seems like a different life time I can't believe
the changes in me. I'm caring, compassionate and helpful! I feel like a
new person for the first time in my life. I'm starting to see who the
real Gordon is. When I first got here and got into the course room I
thought 'There's no way this will work for me.' How wrong I was. I'm now
100% confident of completing this course so on that note I thought I'd
explain to my mother-in-law why I left my son and stopped all contact.
Briefly the reason was I didn't want my son to see me like I was and as
I remember seeing myself. The best news I've had in years, my in-laws
got in touch with me and because for the first time in years I've told
them the truth and explained what heroin does to a person they said they
don't hold anything against me and knew that I'd always loved my boy and
that I'd had a reason for leaving.
So from wanting to die only a month ago I'm now planning my whole life
ahead of me and now my only family want to have contact with me. I just
can't believe it. Not only that but since being here at Narconon I've
made so many friends, I've got in touch with myself and I really do see
a future without drugs. So if anyone outside or inside Narconon says
that the programme doesn't work or it seems like a load of shit, bring
them to me because I'm living proof that no one needs to be a slave to
addiction or give they're lives to lady heroin.
Thank you Narconon."
